Hydroponics at VCA

Victory Christian Academy houses custom-built hydroponic units that are not only used to educate the students about soil-less, sustainable agriculture, but also to grow produce to generate revenue for their agriculture program.

What We Grow

Lettuce

Currently, we grow 6 types of lettuce: red leaf, green leaf, red oak leaf, green oak leaf, butterhead and dark lolla rossa.

Microgreens

We have the capability to produce several pounds of microgreens a week. Our current offerings include: salad blend (kohlrabi, cabbage, arugula, broccoli), scallions, cilantro, red vein sorrel and radish blend.

Peppers

As an indoor facility, we also grow pepper plants year round. Currently growing in our facility are: bell peppers, poblanos, jalapenos, serranos and habaneros.

Leafy Greens

In addition to the lettuce, we grow kale, spinach, arugula and swiss chard to harvest on a weekly basis.
